Dear Scott

I am writing to confirm officially that your application for the 2008 Tourism for Tomorrow Awards has been received. It is complete and complies with our rules and guidelines. Your application has now been passed on to our judges.

You have submitted an application for Village Homestays in the Investor in People Award category.

By writing this email, I would like to familiarize you with the judging process and the next steps involved. However, please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions. I am happy to assist.

After all applications have been sent to the judges, the Finalist Selection Committee reviews all entries and convenes for conference calls to decide a shortlist of 12 – that is 3 for each category. The finalists will be announced per press release and other communication at the end of January. You will of course learn about the result before we issue the press release. In the meantime, please refrain from contacting any of our judges.

The second phase of the judging process will involve an on-site evaluation visit of each finalist. WTTC will organize these visits in conjunction with an independent on-site evaluator and yourself. We are hoping to conduct all visits in February. Please note that WTTC will cover the expenses of the on-site evaluator. Finalists can offer support such as airport transfer, meals etc, but this is NOT a requirement.

After the on-site visits have taken place, the reports thereof as well as the original applications of the 12 finalists will be sent to a final judging panel which will decide on the winner for each category.

The winners’ ceremony takes place on 21 April, 2008 in Dubai, UAE as part of the 8th Global Travel & Tourism Summit (www.globaltraveltourism.com). I am pleased to inform you that WTTC will waive the original registration fee of US$5,000 for the 12 finalists and will also cover flights and accommodation for the 4 winners.

Lastly, I would just like to thank you for participating in this competition.

Good luck and kind regards

Susann
